Boutique: A small, speciality store offering exclusive things. In our case, food, wine and related epicure.
We started Meejana as a reaction to the difficulty there is in finding great food and wine. It seems that the supermarkets only have the nicest things once a year, but why shouldn't we have them all year round? After all, we used to when we were young!
And so the idea for Meejana was born.
Over the next two years, we searched high and low for some of the best products from around the world (and also a place to house them). In fact, it was the latter which was the hardest!
In October 2006, the deal was done for the opening location in the Quadrant in Weybridge and work started in earnest to refurbish and refit the old shop. This was not without its own challenges, and if you happen to spend some time in Meejana and get to know us, we might share a few tales with you over a glass of wine and a plate of charcuterie ...
After six months, we are finally ready to open the doors on the new Meejana. The shelves are being stocked as we write this and the opening day has been set for Sunday 1st April 2007 with a great Terra Rossa launch event.
We look forward to welcoming you in our new place and introducing you to some fabulous new, award winning products, as well as some of your old favourites.
See you soon

Meejana is a small, new, modern Lebanese restaurant with its roots firmly in Phoenicia. It is also a superb European/Mediterranean delicatessen and proud member of the Guild of Fine Food Retailers. Delights include San Daniele hams, truffles, some of the best olive oils on the market today, and a range of exclusive delicacies not available locally. And it is a cafe/traiteur - fantastic crepes, fine wines, charcuterie, cheeses and patisserie combined with a wide range of main courses and vegetarian dishes all built on traditional values and excellent produce.
